We're enhancing security for ARTIC SSO logins by adding Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using the Duo Mobile app.
What to Expect Next:
After opting in, you'll receive instructions to download the Duo Mobile app on your smartphone.
You’ll set up your account by following the on screen prompts
Once you're set up, you’ll get a Duo push notification and will be asked to enter a code into the Duo Mobile app whenever you log in.
Setup is quick, easy, and adds an important layer of protection to your account.
What is the security and privacy impact of having the Duo app on my phone?
Duo will only send push notifications to your phone to authenticate access when you are logging into ARTIC SSO. It does not have access to data such as your contacts, photos, or files. It cannot see information about other applications on your device and it cannot track your location.
What if I do not want to use the Duo MFA app?
The preferred, and easier method is to receive a phone notification, but if you do not want to install the Duo app on your phone you can also receive a phone call from Duo to either your work desk phone or a personal phone number. Just follow the on screen prompts and select option 2!
